| VMEbus Goes "Critical" |
| November 21, 2006 | |
Hello Members,As many of you know, VITA is now concentrating on "Critical Embedded Systems" both technically and marketing-wise. All of the standards we are completing in VSO are aimed at "Critical Embedded Systems" applications (high-speed fabric connections, liquid cooling, mezzanines, MTBF calculations, RoHS, Software Defined Radio standards, etc). We have defined CES and the applications, and you will see more on that soon. We will talk more about CES at B&B in January in Long Beach, CA. Also, as you know, we have initiated a VITA Media Partner Program, and Open Systems Publishing became our first VMP. You received a press release last week announcing their new www.vmenow.com website and blog. Yesterday, OSP announced that their VMEbus Systems magazine will change its name to "VME and Critical Systems" magazine. Look for the new issue in your mail in December. Through OSP and our other VMP's, we will be bringing you more information on the Critical Embedded Systems markets and technologies in the future. Best regards... Ray Alderman Comments |
