PA Semi's PWRficient PA6T-1682M processor, unveiled to the public on February 5th, is showing up on products in several VITA-sponsored form factors.
First came the XPedite8070 3U VPX board from Extreme Engineering, also formally announced in February. This week, we get news of the TPA-XMC from Themis Computer, a PrXMC. Also this week, we get news of Mercury Computer Systems' plans to support the PA6T-1682M in next-generation products including all four PowerStream product lines across multiple form factors including 6U VXS, 3U and 6U VPX-REDI, and larger form-factor systems. Mercury is also making available the VS6-100EV early development board in the VXS form factor with PMC/XMC I/O for application developers. (via Embedded Computing Design)
